Minimalist Wedding Dresses in Berlin - À La Meghan Markle

Minimalism has been a rising trend in bridal fashion for a few seasons now.

We love simple, streamlined silhouettes at Zo & Willow and were super excited to see Meghan Markle embracing one of our favourite wedding dress styles. Her dress designed by Clare Waight Miller for Givenchy featured three-quarter-length sleeves, clean lines, a bateau neckline, and a very simple silhouette. Her wedding dress epitomised a timeless minimal elegance yet was still forward thinking and modern in style.

Many of our brides in Germany are minimalists at heart!  I love them and I always like to advise them to stay true to their own fashion style when picking their wedding dress.  Minimal wedding dresses can be just as luxurious as embellished or lace ones, and in fact they are often more difficult to make as there is less room for error as the seams have to be super clean and the fabrics supreme (no hiding errors with lace or embroidery). A good test of craftsmanship is a designer that can make a minimal gown!

Here are some of our favorite Zo & Willow wedding dress designers. Fans of Meghan's wedding dress will find lots of inspiration here.
